DOGE Saves $470M: 312 Contracts Canceled in 7 Days

On Thursday, the Department of Government Efficiency shared that they have canceled hundreds of contracts in the past few days. This decision has helped save almost $500 million.

“In the past week, various government agencies have ended 312 contracts that were considered unnecessary, which total around $2.8 billion. This decision is expected to save about $470 million. Among the contracts canceled was a $286,000 agreement with the Department of Defense for a management training course at Harvard University, and a $485,000 contract from USAID for a senior development advisor position based in Madagascar.”

DOGE has reported savings of $263 million from canceled contracts, which include agreements related to a project in Zambia and executive coaching services.
